Our Auburn Field Trip

We learned about poultry!
At Auburn University, college of agriculture, we
learned about food and the contamination risks of food as it
travels from the farms to the market. We interviewed Dr.
Singh. Dr. Singh is a Assistant Professor of Poultry Science.
We also learned about the different types of bacteria, and
where they can be found. E. Coli is found almost anywhere,
but especially in stool. Salmonella is found in lots of meat
such as chicken, pork, and beef. Listeria is found in the
fridge, beef, and almost anywhere else that has cold
temperatures. Dr. Singh has taught the Brick Brains all
about poultry, bacteria, and food safety; how we can be safe
when it comes to food.
