P.E.E.P.S. Camp

We studied the chicken and the egg!
At P.E.E.P.S camp, we studied eggs and chicken. We learned that eggs can have blood clots in them, so it is important to use a machine that can tell if there's a blood clot. We also learned that they put the egg in a special rotating device that warms the eggs until time to hatch. Then, when it is time to hatch, the eggs are placed in a machine that lets the eggs properly hatch and then are placed into the chicken house. What we learned about chicken was that they feed the chicken different types of food to balance their diet to give them equal nutrients. We learned about several parts of the chicken including the crown, foot, gobbler, and also gizzard. We had the chance to dissect a reproductive tract. P.E.E.P.S camp was a great opportunity to learn all about chickens and eggs.
